IF YOU WORK FOR AN ORGANISATION THAT WANTS TO REDUCE ITS CARBON FOOTPRINT, THEN ENABLING A SUSTAINABLE IT PROCUREMENT STRATEGY WILL MAKE A SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTION TOWARDS YOUR ESG GOALS, WITHOUT COMPROMISING IT REQUIREMENTS.
IMPACT YOUR ESG REPORT
Buying new laptops has a bigger footprint than you think.
From the amount of resources used to CO2 produced, it's staggering how much of an impact buying laptops has on the earth. This multiplies when you're a medium or large business that procures thousands of laptops for your employees.
The sustainable alternative to new is remanufactured laptops.
For every Circular Computing remanufactured laptop, approximately 316kg (700lb) of CO2 emissions are prevented by not buying new. For just 1,000 laptops, that is the same as taking 80 cars off the road for a year.
Over 190,000 litres (50,000 gallons) of water is saved from being used for extraction, refining & production of one new computer and its components. That is enough drinking water for over 700 years for the average American.
To manufacture the necessary materials to create each component of one laptop, 1,200 kg of the Earth’s resources are mined and consumed. Remanufacturing not only prevents the consumption of additional resources, but also avoids the e-waste from the disposal of a laptop.
CARBON NEUTRAL REMANUFACTURED LAPTOPS
Every laptop you buy is a certified Carbon Neutral Plus Product.
As part of our commitment to net zero and providing carbon neutral IT products, we are audited annually by Carbon Footprint.
Our carbon footprint has been assessed following ISO 14064-1 and the GHG Protocol. Any residual GreenHouse Gas emissions have been offset using verified projects to achieve carbon neutrality.
Find out how much CO2 your organisation could save by procuring remanufactured laptops
When a Circular Computing laptop is purchased, not only do you get a leading-brand carbon neutral remanufactured laptop, but you also help invest in clean energy projects around the world and finance 5 trees to be planted in your name, through our reforestation partners.
Restoring trees will alleviate poverty through income diversity for the poorest communities, and restore soils, water and biodiversity.
These on-going projects not only reforest these areas, but also help vulnerable communities and support clean energy projects, boosting local economies, protecting woodland and helping to cool the Earth.
REUSING IT EQUIPMENT
Those who have pledged to net zero and other environmental initiatives can put forward, in confidence, remanufactured laptops as a way of reducing the carbon footprint and e-waste for their organisation.
‘Remanufactured’ laptops are new to the technology world as we have developed this process over the recent years. The term was coined as it reflected what we do - rebuild the used laptops to deliver a performance that is truly comparable to new.
We give the product a new lease of life and extend the warranty by up to 3 years. Of course, we would also like the product back when you are finished with it, so we can begin our process all over again.
